Local barber and Amara partner Tommy Andrade, and his partner Jeff Chou, have been reaching out to service providers to build a network of supporters who provide free and discounted services to kids in foster and kinship care. Friends of Southpaw invites other service providers to join them in making it a little easier for kids in foster care to get the services they need, whether it’s haircuts, swimming lessons, college application help, or valuable job training.
Foster and kinship caregivers can visit the Friends of Southpaw website to see the services currently offered, and can expect to see more services added moving forward. “Donating time and talents is something everyone can afford,” Andrade said. “I’m excited to see how this will grown in the years to come.”
