Building Bridges, Strengthening Families This Fall
It takes a village to help each child and family achieve wholeness and stability. With your continued support, we can provide essential programs and resources to kids and families impacted by the child welfare system. Lives are transformed when we come together to positively impact our corners of the world.
This fall we are working to raise $100,000 to directly support programs for kids and families experiencing foster care. We need your help! Please consider making a gift today, which will help fund the following:
- Starting our new youth program for kids in foster care to join where they can build relationships with other kids who have been in care, work on identity formation, and heal from trauma
- Supporting a grandma to navigate the child welfare system as she takes in her grandkids who are entering foster care
- Providing 1:1 support from a social worker, educational workshops, and peer network opportunities to foster caregivers to help them develop skills to parent in the context of foster care

Speaking of Change: How Parent and Caregiver Relationships Can Help Children Thrive

When parents and foster parents (or relative caregivers) build positive and supportive relationships with each other, it reduces stress for children in foster care, allowing them to feel safe and supported by all the primary adults in their life. Come learn more about this new approach to fostering and how Amara provides the tools to make this possible.
