2021 is our 100th anniversary and we’re celebrating!
Join us for an inspiring program that highlights the voices of children and families experiencing foster care and adoption, hosted by Fahren Johnson. (Director of Strategic Initiatives for Expanded Learning, Greentrike; Amara Pierce County Advisory Council member).
We are pleased to offer a virtual program featuring the debut of a short yet powerfully moving video highlighting the emotional journey of a parent whose children were in foster care and the foster family who cared for the kids, as they work to overcome challenges, navigate bumpy relationships and do their best to support two young boys. As we celebrate 100 years of supporting kids and families, we’ll also take a brief look at our past and the vision we have for our future to transform child welfare.
New This Year! Host a Watch Party from Home!
This year, you will have the option to sign up as an Event Host and gather friends and family for a “watch party” at your homes. This is a wonderful way to be an ambassador for Amara and share a mission you care about with your loved ones. You can read more about this opportunity here.
We have so much in store for you and can’t wait to share an incredible program of celebration, inspiration, and community. We invite you to learn more and raise critical funds for our work with children in foster care, adoptees, and all the family members who love them. Together, we thrive!
*King County residents: You can also support Amara by ordering delivery or take-out from Tutta Bella and entering “EasyAsPieAmara” at checkout. Tutta Bella will donate 20% of sales from your order to Amara from Sunday, Oct. 10th – Friday, Oct. 15th!*
If you would like to learn more about being a home host, a sponsor, or if you have other questions, please contact Melinda at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 206-260-1714.
