Please join us this fall for Amara’s traveling photo exhibit fundraiser! We are honored to feature photographs that represent the experiences and hopes of kids and adults who have been impacted by foster care, as seen through their eyes. This event was inspired by the work of Amara’s Youth Development Program, which launched this summer. Through our summer camps and a partnership with Youth In Focus, participants explored identity development and skill-building through photography workshops and play.

Collaborative Parenting Workshop, a brave space for kinship families

Amara’s Collaborative Parenting Workshop is a free, six-week virtual course for parents and kinship or foster caregivers that will support the “shared parenting” relationship between them. We invite kinship caregivers to attend with their co-parent to learn about different communication styles, conflict management, and more! We hope participants walk away feeling more empowered in successfully
