Family Resource Center - Amara

Family Resource Center

Amara’s Family Resource Center provides families with immediate help such as food*, diapers, and clothing, as well as connections to other resources such as healthcare, baby necessities, transportation, and parenting supports. Families do not need to “qualify” or prove “eligibility” to get the help they need at our Resource Center.

Concrete Goods Requests: APPLICATIONS/REQUESTS FOR ALL CONCRETE GOODS ARE ON HOLD.

As of April 17, 2023, we are no longer accepting new requests for concrete goods (grocery/gas cards, rental assistance, car repairs, large purchases) due to limited funds. We are processing previous requests and will respond to those as soon as we are able. We hope to re-open our concrete goods program soon. Our food pantry and diaper bank in our Tacoma office are open and available.

Looking for other resources? Check out our Resources for Families list.

We are here for your family.

We are open at 3501 104th St. E. in Tacoma Tuesdays – Fridays during these hours:

  • Tuesday 1 pm – 5 pm
  • Wednesday 10 am – 5 pm
  • Thursday 10 am – 1 pm
  • Friday 10 am – 5 pm

Our “one-stop-shop” approach to supporting families where they are helps them stabilize and focus on learning and growing. Connect with us to see what we can offer families. Read our guidelines for requesting support. Families and/or caseworkers can complete our request form and email it to frc@amarafamily.org.
