Washington State Senator T’wina Nobles, who also is Executive Director of the American Leadership Forum (ALF) of Tacoma-Pierce County, announced a new partnership with Amara at the inaugural Leaders Who Inspire luncheon on November 12th. The partnership will connect ALF Senior Leadership Fellows with Amara to help us meet more needs and fill more gaps in the child welfare system.
In her announcement, Sen. Nobles said the partnership with Amara will allow ALF’s Senior Leadership Fellows to “give back and strengthen the fabric of opportunity” for more kids and families in our community. ALF fellows are active, courageous, and involved community leaders who make change and lead by meeting people where they are.
“We are thrilled to build community with ALF and ALF Senior Leadership Fellows. Improving the child welfare system is a huge task and Amara can’t do it alone. We look forward to all the ways we will be able to help more people involved in the system, or at risk of becoming involved, thanks to the support of these strong community leaders,” said Fahren Johnson, CEO of Amara.
